Different

I felt different from other kids at my school in elementary because my clothes were too big or too small and I wore Payless shoes with holes in them. Also, my friends didn’t want to ever come to my house because I lived in an apartment and they were afraid of my dad. Also, there wasn’t any furniture, just one couch with a TV on the floor and a bedroom with a mattress and a pile of clothes on the floor. And I also had a wart on my hand, so my friend Jackson would never hold my hand and it made me feel sad. And I would steal food from all the other kids’ lunch boxes and eat it in the bathroom.
